Fixing your thoughts on what's true

1 Corinthians 1:10
Now I exhort you brethren by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all agree and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be made complete in the same mind and in the same judgment.
Is there any division between God the Father and Jesus Christ? Or the Holy Spirit and God that Father? No. The Trinity exists in perfect unity.
Since we’ve not yet reached perfection, unity is a cause that must be worked out but it’s a worthy cause to fight for and pursue. Just as God exists in perfect unity, so he wants us to strive for unity since we are the very body of Jesus Christ. This verse says “by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ…there be no divisions.”
I think one of Satan’s tactics to create division is through suspicion.  When we start being suspicious of someone else, that lends making assumptions, fear, and believing or focusing on the worst.
Philippians 4:19 says to “Fix your thoughts on what is true and honorable and right and pure and lovely and admirable.” This is the opposite of fear and that allows us to reach out in love, and rather than stew on suspicion to engage with someone and seek to listen, understand, clarify, find common ground, and love.
