Small Group Outreach Ideas

SUMMER OUTREACH IDEAS

Lake Calhoun (or Lake Harriet or Lake Nokomis)

• Take spiritual interst surveys or hand out water, followed by a BBQ and/or sports activity such as volletyball, wiffleball, frisbee, or croquet
• Hand out dog treats and/or poop bags
• Hand out lip balm and/or sunscreen Reach out to motorcyclists
• Use some form of entertainment to draw a crowd

St. Paul - Grand Ave / St. Thomas / Macalester College

• Take spiritual interest surveys and hand out dog treats

PHAT Summer (Minneapolis Park and Rec Board summer program)

• Volunteer at a Minneapolis Park and Rec Board summer program M-Th evenings

North Minneapolis Block party

• Serve neighbors - paining, yardwork, wash outside windows, etc.

Halfway House

• Serve dinner

Outreach to Somali's At Seven Corners:

• Take spiritual interst and/or cultural surveys and handout phone cards as an incentive. To Taxicab drivers: Hand out water, tracts written in Somali, air fresheners, Armor All or snacks

Lake Como / Bandana Square / Saints Game:

Summer festivals:
