Typos

Shining the light of Christ on the Old Testament. It is our goal to shine the light of Christ on Old Testament shadows and bring about an excitement and hunger for reading and knowing all of God's Word including the Old Testament. Reading and understanding the Word of God is foundational not only to our faith, but also to successful Marriages. We will stress accountability on reading the Word and having strong healthy marriages.

The Newlyweds

University HC - 2x/Mo, Sunday, 9:30 AM

When beginning the construction of the building, it's important to start out with a firm, solid foundation and build upon that with reliable materials and skillful craftsmanship, following a careful blueprint. God is the master craftsman behind our marriage, Jesus is the foundation, and the Bible is our blueprint. But as sub-builders, we must follow his plan carefully and bring our own heart and soul and labor to build a marriage worth living in!

Fulton West

Fulton HC - 3x/Mo, Sunday,  10:00 AM

Do you have a passion for conserving the pileated red footed warbler? Do you eat cereal after midnight? Or enjoy relaxing to big band classics like Earl Bernet or Henry Halstead? Then you might have similar interests to people in our small group. Then again, you may not. If you have a passion for following Christ in your marriage and your parenting of the next generation, taking real action, and growing real faith, then you will definitely have similar interests to people in our group. We'll meet once per month as couples,  once as men only and once as women only.

Grow Old Along With Me, The Best Is Yet To Be

North HC - 2x/Mo, Sunday, 9:30 AM

One's marriage can often become secondary in the business and chaos of daily living. We offered vows to our spouse on that special day to remain united until death do us part. Our group will focus on the small intricacies that must remain in place to stay connected together and enjoying our marriages as God intended.

The Alliance

Bloomington HC - 2x/Mo, Sunday, Time TBD

An alliance is a group of people working together for a common goal or purpose. In the world around us, Godly marriages and families are becoming harder and harder to find, and we need all of the help we can get! Members of The Alliance will spend time in the word, in prayer, and in conversations about our walks with Christ, our marriages, and raising our kids. We'll also find ways to serve each other and the people around us, laugh a lot, and consume copious amounts of snacks. (Please note, exact meeting time(s) are still being determined and may change from time to time.)

The Few (Men)

University HC - 3x/Month, Sunday,  5:00 PM

The Few is a small group for young men who want to discover what it means to live godly lives. We will meet once per month to discuss the month’s study, which returning members will have studied on their own time. We will do studies revolving around the qualities of faithfulness, excellence, and wholeheartedness. We want to dig into Scripture for ourselves and learn what it means to model these qualities in our homes, workplaces, and peer groups. The group is inclusive and will always strive to make understanding God's word accessible to anyone who wants to learn.

2+ (women)

University HC - 3x/month, Sunday, 9:00 AM

"For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them" Matthew 18:20

This semester, I want to ask God to bring simplicity back into our lives. 2+ is a small group for single working professional ladies and college students, focused on zoning back in on the purpose of our lives as daughters of Christ and living simply for this purpose while actively putting aside the distractions and pressures of this world. We will let God reveal the amazing things that He can do through surrendering to him and to one another in fellowship. The goal is to create a real, safe, unified, and stimulating environment to grow and continue growing closer to each other and to our Savior. What does it mean to truly surrender to God?

Abiding in Grace

Bloomington HC - Every Sunday, 9:00 AM

Hebrews 10:24-25 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. Our goal is to foster a loving environment where saints, aware of the grace the Lord extends without condition in salvation, extend it to each other and to others. We encourage each other to serve, study, pray, and evangelize, mindful always that it is the sanctifying work of the Spirit that transcends our flesh. In our weakness, we are strong (2 Corinthians 12:9-10).

The Voice

St. Paul HC - 2x/Mo, Sunday, 10:00 AM

There are many things that compete for our attention in this life be it sports, media, or the constant demands of the day to day. Quieting ourselves before the Lord then can become a difficult part of the Christian walk. This year in small group will look at things we can do to have daily fellowship with the Lord, from reading the word to prayer to spending time in worship. We hear many voices throughout the day, but only the Voice of the Lord can save us and change us make us whole!

Strength in Humility

Bloomington HC - Every Sunday, 6:00 PM

Strength in Humility' is based on 2 Corinthians 12:9-10, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weakness, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weakness, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.' We all carry a thorn in our side; past or secret sin, hurt, addiction, or trials and difficulties. By humbling ourselves and leaning on the Lord's strength we'll experience deeper intimacy and Christlikeness.

Ever Island Ambassadors

2x/Mo, Wednesday, 6:30 PM

Recognizing that we as Christians have been adopted into God's family, our focused aim as a group is to carry out God's commands concerning homeless youth. We will hold weekly homeless youth outreach events on Sunday nights, providing a safe environment and basic resources for the youth and presenting music concerts centered in God's truth, by way of our songs. As a single's group, we will meet twice monthly. We will do a Bible study on Paul's letter to the Romans with discussion both on a message series by Mark Darling, and also a book called Fields of the Fatherless.
