Join us one the second and fourth Saturday of every month, September through May, to enjoy an American family dinner, singing, cultural exchange, a short Christian message and interactive conversation groups. The East House is a community of Americans and Chinese people seeking to become a spiritual family.
Arrive at the East House at 6:00 pm and enjoy a family-style American dinner. Dinner and beverages will be provided for free. We will spend a little time meeting one another, practicing English conversation and making connections. After dinner, we will transform the room from a dining space to a place for a large group meeting. A musician and a singer will lead the group in four Christian songs that we will sing together. Then, a leader will give a 10 minute talk explaining more about what Christians believe, who Jesus is, facts about Biblical history, and how the Bible relates to life today. Following the talk, we break into conversation groups to share culture, share language, and share our ideas. These groups last 30-45 minutes. At the end of the speaking time, we play a fun game or join in a dance party to finish the night. We will finish our group meeting promptly at 8:30 pm.
